Dr. Chris Lloyd

Dr Chris Lloyd grew up in Liverpool in the north of England and graduated from Bristol University in the UK in 2000. He worked in several hospitals around the south west of England before eventually joining a large General Practice in Bristol, having gained his membership examinations with distinction.

Chris moved to Australia in 2009 with his wife Andrea and their three young children, having grown tired of the rainy and grey days in England and keen to experience life down under. After working at Lake Munmorah for four years, he decided to join Mingara Medical in 2013 and was the first doctor to see a patient at the practice on day one! Being part of the fabric of the surgery, Chris has loved watching the clinic grow and expand and is committed to its exciting future.

Chris is heavily involved in the local community with his local surf club at Shelly Beach, playing soccer for The Entrance Over 35s and coaching his children’s soccer teams. In 2016, Chris set up a medical clinic at Coast Shelter in West Gosford providing free healthcare to those going through a tough time and needing extra support. He is passionate about improving access to healthcare for all and enjoys all areas of general practice with particular experience in mental health, paediatrics, men’s health and sports medicine.
